Akira Kondoh
Chairman
Expertise: Corporate Management & Governance – Leveraging the insights of seasoned professional executives
A pioneering Japanese executive with deep expertise in global capital markets.
Former Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). After joining Sumitomo Bank (now SMBC), Akira spent a total of 17 years in New York assignments. He led negotiations for Sumitomo Bank’s investment to Goldman Sachs in 1986, and acted as CEO during the establishment of swap house SBCM. He led Sumitomo Bank’s business in Americas and Europe in late 1990’s. After coming back to Japan, he held positions as Executive Vice President of Daiwa Securities SBCM, , Executive Officer at Sony, Vice Chairman of AIG Far East, CEO of Fuji Fire & Marine, and Outside Director of Calbee, among others. In addition, he has served as a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Economics, Saitama University, and as a board member of major organizations, engaging in a wide range of activities.
Currently, he serves as an outside director and advisor to multiple public and private companies, leveraging his extensive experience and track record in global capital markets to support the growth and international expansion of Japanese companies. In 1999, he successfully led IIJ’s listing on NASDAQ—the first IPO by a Japanese company on the exchange—in partnership with Goldman Sachs.

Koh Satoh
Chief Operating Officer
Specialist in Corporate Value Enhancement and Capital Policy
A financial professional with long term experience, broadly covering from equity and debt trading, strategic investment management of listed/unlisted equities, real estate investment, fund structuring, hedge fund management, to corporate restructuring.
He began his career in 1985 at Sumitomo Bank (now SMBC), where he was engaged in project finance and syndication, mainly based in London. He later served in senior roles in strategic investment and trading space at US-based global hedge fund (Moore SVP) and Lehman Brothers Securities until 2008 where he covered equity, debt, and real estate investments. As a senior investment manager, he managed numerous large-scale investment projects and executed these exit strategies with successful track record. He also had a broad experience in structured finance space, which extensively covering a wide range of financial products, from securitization, structured finance, hybrid derivatives, to structuring of domestic/international investment funds, serving as a team head (MD/Director level) at foreign securities firms (Société Générale Securities, HSBC, Stormharbour, etc.).
Leveraging long-term experience in the financial background he currently served as an advisor to major global funds (Pacific Alliance Group, 2020–2023) and foreign business corporate, while currently serving as compliance officer and outside director for multiple domestic corporate.

Noriyuki Matsushima
Senior Executive Advisor
Expertise: Intellectual Property Management & Governance
Noriyuki began his career as a securities analyst at Nikko Research Center in 1982. In 1999, he joined Nikko Solomon Smith Barney Securities (now Citigroup Global Markets Japan), covering sectors including land, sea, and air transportation, manufacturing, non-ferrous metals, electric wires, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, railways, precision instruments, machinery, and automotive from 1991 to 2013. He consistently ranked #1 in major analyst surveys, including Nikkei Veritas (Nikkei Financial Journal), Institutional Investor, and The Economist.
After retiring from sell-side analyst in 2013, he served as Chief Advisor at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities (2013–2018) and Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting (2018–2021). Upon reaching the mandatory retirement age in April 2021, he entered into a personal contract with Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting in May 2021, assuming the role of Advisory Consultant.
Noriyuki is a former Outside Auditor of Denso Corporation and served on the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s Ito Report 2.0 and 3.0 committees. He was also Chair of the Disclosure Study Group at the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
He has served on numerous advisory committees for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Cabinet Office, and the Japan Patent Office. He is a Director and Vice Chair of the Japan Investor Relations Society and a lecturer for the Financial Leadership Program at Hitotsubashi University CFO Education & Research Center. In recent years, he has focused on promoting intellectual property management through the Cabinet Office (Committee on Effective Disclosure and Governance of IP Investment and Utilization) and the Japan Patent Office. He is also a Director of the Intellectual Property & Intangible Asset Governance Association.

Hiroshi Yoshihara
Senior Executive Analyst
Expertise: Sponsored Research Writing & Capital Management Strategy
Hiroshi worked as a sell-side analyst in the Equity Research Department of U.S. investment banks—Salomon Brothers Asia Securities, Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, and Morgan Stanley Japan Securities—for 20 years (1989–2009), serving as Managing Director and Executive Director. Prior to that, he spent nine years at IBM Japan’s Product Development Laboratory as a technology evaluation analyst, conducting research and analysis on semiconductors and packaging technologies (recipient of honors such as a Division Award and Distinguished Service Award).
In the precision instruments sector, he was ranked No. 1 for four consecutive years (1997–2000) by the U.S. financial magazine Institutional Investor, and was frequently ranked among the top ten analysts by other financial publications such as The Economist, in categories including precision instruments, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and industrial electronics. Since 2017, he has been with sponsored research companies as a senior analyst, publishing initiation reports of around 50 corporates covering all industries past seven years.
From 2009, he spent roughly ten years at a think tank, where he was engaged in policy planning, regional development, and renewable energy project development. He is currently serving in public-interest activities, including as a Standing Trustee of the Waseda Hoshien Foundation and as a Councilor of the Chikushi Scholarship Foundation. He was born in Fukuoka Prefecture.

Kazuhiko Tahara, CFA

Global finance and investment expert, with expertise in corporate governance (CG) and sustainability (ESG investing), becoming a published author and key opinion-leader on ESG and sustainable investment.
Most recently working at Sodali & Co and previously at S&P Global Market Intelligence, providing insight and guidance on CG and sustainability to clients.

Shinichi Takagi
Managing Director
Expertise: Investor Relations / Sustainability
With an extensive career in Investor Relations (IR) at several Japanese corporations, Shinichi specializes in bridging top management and the capital markets, with particular expertise in engagement with global institutional investors. He has played a pivotal role in driving management enhancements, articulating compelling equity stories, and leading strategic corporate communications. His experience also includes the development of sustainability frameworks aligned with global standards. In addition, he served as CFO of a startup, overseeing financial strategy and fundraising initiatives.
He began his career at Fuji Bank (now Mizuho Bank) in FX sales and trading. From the 1980s onward, he accumulated first-hand experience in global financial markets, including risk-taking and risk management, with a total of ten years spent in New York and London. Subsequently, at Nidec Corporation, he was based in London for five years, conducting extensive IR meetings with investors and sell-side analysts across Europe and the Middle East. His achievements were highly recognized by the market, earning him the title of "Best IR Professional" in the Electronic Component sector by Institutional Investor magazine for two consecutive years.
Having lived abroad for over 21 years since childhood, he provides strategic advisory services that integrate a global perspective with practical execution. He is committed to supporting companies’ sustainable growth through constructive dialogue with diverse stakeholders, including capital market participants.

Misako “Terri” Terui
U.S. Office
Expertise: North American Capital Markets
After working at management consulting firm in Japan fresh out of college, Terri joined Japan’s first IR firm as a founding member, introducing the concept of financial communications to Japan through direct engagement with overseas investors. Her pioneering efforts helped establish investor relations as a recognized practice in Japan.
She subsequently served as Executive Director and Head of North America Equities at SMBC Nikko Securities America, Managing Director and Head of Sales at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities USA, and Director at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup Global Markets in the US and Japan.
Over a 30-year career with leading financial institutions, Terri developed deep expertise in the mindset and decision-making of global investors, building a network of over 500 North American institutional investors and participating in more than 2,000 IR meetings across the region alongside Japanese corporate executives. She has also led numerous large-scale fundraising transactions for Japanese companies in the U.S. capital markets.
A serial entrepreneur, Terri has founded four companies and successfully launched multiple intrapreneurial ventures within major corporations. She brings a unique perspective shaped by experience on both sides of the table—as a corporate leader and as a bridge to global investors.

John Tinker
Managing Director
Expertise: Investor Relations / Capital Markets / Governance Strategy
John Tinker brings over three decades of experience in investor relations, equity research, and capital markets strategy, with a focus on the media, telecom, and technology sectors.
He has held senior roles across both the buy side and sell side, including at Morgan Stanley and Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America), where he co-founded the Media & Communications research group. He also served as research director at GAMCO Investors and launched Steamer Capital, a TMT-focused long/short hedge fund.
During his career as a Wall Street sell-side analyst, John was an early voice in identifying breakthrough opportunities—most notably as the only analyst to recommend Google on its IPO trading debut. He has advised public companies on investor engagement, market positioning, and governance during periods of strategic transition or activist involvement, including during his time at Comscore.
He serves on the executive committee of Research to Prevent Blindness, where he chairs the finance committee. He is a graduate of Exeter College, Oxford University, and is qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in the UK.

Takuo Katayama
Managing Director
Expertise: Corporate value creation, Growth strategy development
Takuo began his career at Nissan Motor Co., where he worked as an engineer developing vehicles sold in the Japanese, U.S., and European markets, gaining hands-on experience in both product development and global mass production. Following the completion of his MBA, he transitioned into the financial industry, building his career as an equity analyst at Prudential Securities, Daiwa Securities, and Macquarie Capital, where he conducted investment research for global institutional investors, covering the U.S. and Japanese automotive and capital goods sectors.
Over nearly two decades at leading global financial institutions, he developed deep expertise in the investment decision-making processes, industry structures, and corporate valuation frameworks of institutional investors across Japan, Europe, and the United States.
He subsequently transitioned into the food manufacturing industry and was appointed General Manager of Sun Noodle’s North American operations, overseeing manufacturing, finance, and human resources across two facilities. He led ERP implementation, operational efficiency initiatives, and organizational development, driving business growth from both operational and management perspectives.
Having worked across multiple roles as an engineer, equity research analyst, investment advisor, and operating executive, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective with strengths in corporate value creation, growth strategy development, organizational structuring, and investment research and analysis.
He holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
